Illness, does it mean you are doing something wrong?

The train of thought has been that if one is ill it means there is a message, however it seems that some believe that the 'enlightened' should never be ill at all.
This leads to worry among those who are on the path to enlightenment as they feel something is desperately wrong if they become ill.
What I have found is illness, no matter how severe, is a gift, and it is not always meant to be cured.
If you are a cronic pain suffer, it does not mean you are not doing what you need to do. The gift within is to teach you to still be content with what you have been given.
We have all known someone who has faced death due to illness and watched them be calm as those around them are not. Illness is a gift.
So the next time you feel sick, say thank you and then look for the gift within. It is time to slow down, change something, or maybe change the way you are thinking?
Trust your faith and know you only ever recieve what you are able to handle.
Blessed be, AuKeeRa
